How to Transition Summer Rompers into Fall

Hey guys!! Just to give you a quick update, I know my posts haven’t been coming as often as I’ve liked, but I promise that will change as I find my footing!  I am currently working on a bunch of amazing new updates for the blog, and that is taking up a lot of my time lately.  I’ve been pretty stressed juggling my full-time job and trying to grow my blog, but I’m feeling very excited for what the future holds.  ANNDDD this means I’m planning a lot of great posts for you guys!  As always, thanks to all for reading and sticking with me! 🙂

And now….

You know me, and I’m all about versatile fashion.  Being only a little over a year out of school, I’m not swimming in money.  I think spending money on cute pieces that you can wear all year round is always a win.  It’s all about knowing how to style those pieces to make your outfit look new and fresh every time.    In this post, I’m going to teach you my favorite way to take your favorite summer romper, and give it a totally new, fall look.

Romper + Oversized Cardigan + Knee High Boots = The Most Adorable Fall Look EVER.

This romper from Apricot Lane Peoria was one of my absolute favorite rompers this summer.  I loved the pretty lace detailing and how the bright lavender color stood out against my tanned summer skin.  When my summer tan started to fade *sigh*… I needed to find a new way to wear this  beautiful piece.

I decided to give this romper a cozy, fall look by layering.  I decided to pair this with an over-sized, white and black spec’d cardigan to help mute the bright lavender color.  I added black knee high’s to bring out the black specs in the sweater and complete the fall look.

I didn’t want to overshadow all of the different details of the outfit itself, so I chose to accessorize this look with my Kate Tuesday Jewelry ear climbers, my mom’s ring, and with my simple neutral clutch.  I love using simple jewelry to accessorize an outfit.  I never like over-doing it.  Sometimes simplicity is key to a great style!

I challenge all of you guys to try throwing on a open sweater and your favorite pair of boots/booties with your go-to summer romper and rock it this fall!  See below for my specific outfit details and some other examples of romper and cardigan combos to try.  Hope everyone is rocking their week and talk to you soon! 🙂
