Life Update and a Go-To Floral Tunic

Hello loves!  Now that I’m getting back into the swing of things, I thought I’d give you a quick life update of what’s going on in my life and also share a cute little floral tunic for another fall transition piece!

First, wedding planning!  Guys, I have my church, venue, photographer, videographer, and DJ all BOOKED.  Seriously, this is such a big weight lifted off of my shoulders.  My ceremony and wedding reception is going to be in the outer Milwaukee area on Sept. 15 2018.  This venue is gorgeous and so spacious so it will be able to comfortably fit all mine and Josh’s family and friends.  To me, that was my #1 priority. 🙂

Second, also on the topic of wedding, I FOUND MY WEDDING DRESS!!! A few months ago, I headed to a bridal boutique with my mom, future mother in law, and sister to embark on the search to find “the dress”.  I definitely didn’t expect to find it so fast, but it’s true what they say, you really do just know when it’s the one!  Obviously I can’t give more details in fear of my fiance finding out, but I can’t wait for you guys to see it after the wedding next year.

Third and final, the blog!  I feel like I’m going through a time of big change.  Friends who lived so close moved away, my living situation had a switch up, and my full time job has been very busy.  I felt in this crazy time, I needed to take a step back and take everything in to adjust.  Honestly, I don’t handle big change very well and tend to get very stressed so I felt it was very important for me to take everything one step at a time.  In this time, I also decided to make some fun changes to the blog and refocus exactly what I’m looking to do.  These changes will start rolling out in the next couple of months so I’m so excited for you to see them!  I want my blog to be genuine and organized, and before I felt I was losing the real reason I started it:  to provide a safe space for you guys to come to experiment with your personal style and be your most confident self.

Once again, needless to say, I’m so happy to be back with you all. Today I’m sharing a fun, colorful look!  This look features white jeans (who says you need to put away white denim after Labor Day??), a floral tunic with a keyhole choker neck line, a jean jacket, and fun, strappy fall booties.  Check it out!

This beautiful tunic has such a “Free People” vibe to it.  I love loose fitting pieces that breathe and flow.  I also love the dark floral trend which is huge this season.  I chose to pair this with white knee slit jeans, but I’ve also worn a top like this with shorts and tuck it in the front for a high-low feel.

This jean jacket from Apricot Lane is a go-to (look familiar?).  You cannot go wrong wearing white jeans with a denim jacket on those cooler nights. For this particular look, I love how it gives shape to the tunic (even though it’s absolutely ADORABLE hanging loose too).

I hope you enjoyed this look!  Leave a comment letting me know if you plan to rock a loose tunic this fall.  Check out the links below to get this look!
