Hey guys! I don’t know about you, but this weekend flew by. With the holiday season gone, it’s hard to get back to having just 2 day weekends! That also means back to my typical weekend of Sunday R&R that I definitely need to reset myself for the week ahead. A day filled with soft sweatshirts, sweatpants, and cozy socks. There is nothing better than waking up late, having a hot cup of coffee, and either reading a good book or binge watching my favorite TV show (right now it’s Nashville!). Today I’m sharing some Sunday morning style and giving you a glimpse inside my Sunday routines.
I typically start my day sleeping in as much as I can. I usually am up between 6:00-6:30 AM on the week days so even waking up at 8:00 AM is sleeping in for me! Next up is I use my single cup Keurig to make a cup of coffee. Usually I like drinking the Starbucks medium house blend. It’s got a nice taste to it but also packs a punch and wakes me up.
After getting my cup, I usually crawl right back into bed and either turn on my Hulu or Netflix or pick up where I left off on a good book. I’ve been realizing how much I miss reading lately, and really need some new book suggestions. If you guys got any, please share below! I’m super open to any genre but definitely love a good mystery thriller (think Gone Girl or Girl on a Train). I also use this down time to catch up on some of my favorite blogs that I haven’t had time to read that week. I’ll usually check my favorite fashion bloggers’ pages to get inspiration for my future posts and style.
Once it hits 10:00 or 11:00, I take a long hot shower to really relax and take my time. I usually will take this time to do any specialized beauty treatments (like my Crest White strips or exfoliate) since I’m always so rushed during the week. I’ll put on a good playlist too and jam out!
The rest of my day is usually pretty relaxed. Maybe I’ll head out for some brunch with friends, or I’ll just relax around the house and do some cleaning/organizing. I usually take some time right before bed to take out my planner and mentally prepare myself for whatever I’ve got to do that week. I’ll go through my emails and social media accounts and prepare for what I want to get done that week.
I live for Sunday’s! They’re such a needed break in my life, and if done right, can really set the tone for the week ahead. I’ve found that if I do some planning or jump start some blog posts for that week, I feel a million times more prepared and relaxed going into manic Monday!
